The work room was undoubtedly the worst few days of Patrick’s life, and he would grow to wish he could forget them, though the suffering he experienced at the hands of the Templar would forever be drilled into his memory.

The Templar designed their purifications to hit the heart of the sinner, and while Patrick was being purified for being an alcoholic, it fell under the sin of gluttony. The obvious purification for such a sin was deprivation until the sinner appreciated what little he did receive.

When Patrick awoke the next morning, it took several moments for him to remember the horror of yesterday. When he did, he immediately curled up on his bed, but he didn't have long to be panicked. The door to his cell swung open and the woman in the black hood entered, followed by two others.
